Carving Contest

The Pumpkin Carving Contest is usually held on the Monday before Halloween at the Bridgehampton Community House.

We are open to accept entries at 5pm or earlier if you need time to set up and judging usually starts once it’s dark enough.

Any idea you plan to carve should be considered for it’s glow factor, that’s what makes this such an interesting art form. A little extra consideration given to how the light plays in your design is what the judges are looking for. It may look nice or even unassuming during the day – it’s the transformation into the evening that really counts!

RULES, RULES, RULES.

Admission and entries are FREE!!!

There is NO AGE LIMIT on theme categories, anyone can enter.

We do have one age limit freestyle category – 12 and under.

All entries are free. Maximum 3 entries per person, one per category. Judging starts at dusk/dark so don’t be too late. All entries should be taken home after the contest. Please bring a candle for each of your entries. Carving must be done at home. No carving is permitted at the event.

If you are setting up a scene or an idea with multiple pumpkins and plan to win we suggest setting it up on a board that can be carried to the winners table.
